Project Instructions Generator

A copy-paste prompt that interviews you and writes a strong set of Claude Project instructions — built on the four ingredients pros use.

// Great project instructions have four ingredients

1. Context

what the project is for

2. Process

how Claude should approach tasks

3. Tone & style

how it should sound

4. Requirements

the non-negotiable rules

Drop your email and I'll send this prompt straight to you — and you'll get every new Claude resource and study guide as I build them, learning in public. The full prompt is right below either way.

The prompt

I'm setting up a Claude Project for: [describe your work / goal].

Interview me one question at a time, then write the project instructions.
Make sure they cover all four:
  1. CONTEXT — what this project is for
  2. PROCESS — how you should approach tasks in it
  3. TONE & STYLE — how you should sound
  4. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS — the non-negotiable rules

When you have enough, output the final instructions as one clean block
I can paste straight into the project's Instructions panel.

How to use it

  1. 1 Open a fresh Claude chat and paste the prompt. Replace [describe your work / goal] with what your project is actually for.
  2. 2 Answer Claude's questions one at a time. It interviews you so the instructions fit your workflow, not a generic template.
  3. 3 Copy the block it outputs into your Project's Instructions panel. Now every chat in that project follows it.
